Three North American companies have already begun implementing predictive behavior modeling and assessment testing and a fourth is in the pilot program
Harper Woods, MI – Three major North American companies have begun working with the Exemplar Research Group to implement Exemplar’s Predictive Behavior ProfileTM, while another major company has entered into a pilot agreement. The Predictive Behavior ProfileTM is a behavior modeling assessment. It helps to identify new hires that have attitudes that research has shown could lead to malingering workers’ compensation claims, unsafe work habits, low job performance, unsafe driving behavior, unexcused absences and other work-related outcomes. The following companies have implemented the assessment as a new client or on a pilot program basis.
CANFOR,(TSE: CFP) a Vancouver, B.C. based company, is “A global leader in dimension lumber and one of the world’s largest producers of sustainable wood building solutions.” They have seen a 72 percent reduction in workers’ compensation claims since adding the Predictive Behavior ProfileTM to their hiring process. Canfor’s new hire claims went from $497,525 to $137,630 and their turnover went from 37% to 12% in some of their mills. “Adding the Predictive Behavior ProfileTM to our screening process was like finding the missing tool for our tool box. We had several resources to discover a candidate’s history, but nothing to predict future performance,” Canfor HR Director Debbie Sand said. “The Profile increases our odds of hiring the right person for the right job the first time.”
Employee leasing company Barrett Business Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBSI) has also partnered with Exemplar Research TM working with 3,000 companies daily; BBSI helps businesses build a stronger foundation by providing a wide variety of solutions including staffing, payroll, and human capital management. Based out of Vancouver, Wash, BBSI has 50 offices that serve companies in 12 different states along the East and West Coast.
Royal Farms, Baltimore, Md, a fresh food on-the-go convenience store chain, began using the Predictive Behavior ProfileTM in December of 2013, replacing another assessment they had used for many years. Established in 1959, Royal Farms has been “Satisfying the hunger for real fresh food served real fast” through their 155 stores across Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Atlanta-based Rollins, Inc.(NYSE:ROL), known widely through their subsidiaries Orkin, LLC., Orkin Canada, and HomeTeam Pest Defense is “A premier North American consumer and commercial services company that provides essential pest control services and protection against termite damage, rodents and insects to more than 2 million customers worldwide”. Rollins has entered into a pilot program with Exemplar Research to see how it can complement and integrate into their existing hiring process.

Developed through a collaborative effort between Insurance Risk Managers and Industrial and Organizational Psychologists, the Predictive Behavior ProfileTM is a pre-employment personality test that easily integrates into the hiring process of any business.
